Follow the
Hoopoe !
La Celle

Set off on the “Follow the Hoopoe!” trail and let yourself be surprised by the natural and cultural richness of La Celle. Starting from the washhouse, the route leads you through the open landscapes of Berry, between fields, hedgerows and limestone stone walls that are characteristic of the commune.

The path then takes you to the charming hamlet of Saint-Sylvain and its chapel, before continuing towards the forest and the Sensitive Natural Area (ENS). On the edge of the Boischaut and the Champagne Berrichonne, take the time to observe the local biodiversity: birds, insects, a variety of natural habitats and, with a bit of luck, the Large Blue butterfly (Phengaris nausithous), a rare species found on the site.

Along the way, interpretation panels invite you to discover the village’s history, its built heritage such as the washhouse, as well as the natural riches that shape this landscape. Some visitors already know these scenery, others will rediscover them, and many will be exploring them for the first time.

Suitable for all levels and ideal for families, this trail is an invitation to relaxation and observation. Between shaded paths, views over the Berry countryside and a peaceful atmosphere, every turn offers a moment of nature. A perfect walk to reconnect with what matters and to discover, at your own pace, the authentic charm of La Celle.
