A new commune is joining Follow the Hoopoe !

The commune of Orval is joining the “Follow the Hoopoe !” association at the beginning of 2026, with the aim of working alongside the group of participating communes and sharing the values and ideas developed around the natural, cultural and local heritage of the area.

Orval will soon carry out its Biodiversity Atlas and wishes to raise awareness among residents, tourists and visitors passing through the commune about its local heritage, including:

• its communal pond

• the Parc de la Loge des Vignes, crossed by the Loubière stream

• its walking and hiking trails, along with their associated flora and fauna

Using the “Follow the Hoopoe !” visual identity will provide strong visibility, and the installation of interpretation panels represents an excellent opportunity to share knowledge and promote these natural features.

The commune of Orval will also take part in the organised events and will host an activity as part of Biodiversity Days on May 30, focusing on the theme of dragonflies.
